Happy National Soup Day! 🥣 We hope you have a “souper” day enjoying your favorite recipe! Need some inspiration? Try our amazing Mike’s Tomato Basil Soup recipe! Ingredients: 2c Shirley J Universal Cream Soup and Sauce Mix (Whisk Bliss) 8c Water 2t ShirleyJ Chicken Bouillon 10-15 fresh basil leaves, thinly sliced 2 carrots finely diced ½ onion finely diced 1T sugar 1.2t garlic powder 2, 28oz cans crushed tomatoes 3T tomato paste Directions: In a large stockpot, combine half the water with the carrots, peppers, onion and bouillon. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. In a separate bowl, combine remaining water and Whisk Bliss, stir well. Add sauce mixture to veggies in stock pot, stirring constantly. Bring mixture to a slow boil, reduce heat to simmer, and add tomatoes, garlic, sugar and paste. Stir well and simmer for 5 minutes. Fresh basil may be added to the soup before serving or used as a garnish on top at serving.
